Kristina Yee is a senior analyst for Aite Group’s Retail Banking & Payments practice. Her research covers anti-money laundering (AML), robotic process automation (RPA), cryptocurrency and blockchain, and mortgage technology.
Ms. Yee is a financial services technology (fintech) expert, with a focus on authentication (cybersecurity), cloud computing services (SaaS, IaaS), and emerging technologies. She brings to Aite Group more than 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, product marketing, and change management. Focusing on market assessments, competitive analyses, and product-market-fit positioning, she has helped more than 100 companies—from startups to Fortune 50 multinationals—innovate to “cross the chasm” from one stage to the next growth phase.
Prior to joining Aite Group, Ms. Yee held senior roles with financial technology innovators, including Dorado (mortgage cloud tech acquired by CoreLogic), Authy (mobile multifactor authentication company acquired by Twilio), 1ViewNetwork (online account aggregation and bill payment and presentment developer acquired by Digital Insight), and Arcot Systems (two-factor authentication SaaS acquired by CA Technologies). She was also a lead analyst for four years for Gigaom Research, covering cloud computing, mobile payments, and cryptocurrency. On the consulting and agency side, her clients have included Visa, Wells Fargo, First USA (conception, build, and launch of Wingspanbank.com), 3Com, General Motors, BMC Software, and SanDisk. She has also served as a consultant-advisor to emerging technology companies such as ChangeTip (bitcoin social media payment company acquired by Airbnb) and LUNYR, an ethereum-based system focused on non-repudiation of data.
Ms. Yee served as vendor committee co-chair of the Financial Services Technology Consortium for two years. Her articles have appeared in such publications as Mortgage Banking, Mortgage Technology, New York Banking, and Housing Wire. She has been quoted in publications such as INC., The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Financial Times, and American Banker.
Ms. Yee holds a B.A. in English and Film from Yale and earned her MBA in Marketing and Management of Organizations from Columbia Business School. She is a lifelong baseball fan, enjoys performance art and opera, practices Bhakti Flow yoga, and wishes she could ski through the trees at Squaw, Whistler, or Jackson Hole every day in the winter. She is also an avid scuba diver with more than 280 dives logged, most recently in Bora Bora and Roatan, Honduras.
