Aite Group's general methodology for this type of report allows analysts to develop evaluations in a way that is relevant to the space being investigated. Analysts consider for inclusion all of the vendors that fall into the space they want to evaluate, regardless of whether they are Aite Group clients, and strive to include as many vendors as possible. To query vendors for participation in a study, analysts develop a request for information and submit it to vendors for completion, set up product demos and briefing calls, and strive to speak to three client references per vendor. Though Aite Group sends vendor profiles to vendors for review and fact-checking, our analysts ultimately decide how to portray a vendor.
