Boston, MA, February 13, 2008
– A new report from Aite Group, LLC analyzes the key trends shaping the Asia-Pacific cash management space. It examines in detail how different banking
infrastructures, regulatory environments and customer demands are affecting the cash management activities of various Asia-Pacific countries. The report
also considers how technology can be and is being utilized to achieve greater success in the cash management space.
|
 |
Part of a series of reports on the global cash management industry, this report is based on surveys of 12 tier-one
and tier-two banks within the region. It finds that 83% of the banks surveyed consider growing cash management revenues to be of great importance to their
bank's overall success. However, a number of factors, including increasing customer demands, growing foreign and domestic competition, and regulatory
pressures, make achieving success in this region a challenge.
"Banks in the Asia-Pacific region must continue identifying opportunities to leverage technology that addresses current and future customer
demands," says Judson Murchie, analyst with Aite Group
and co-author of this report. "Customers in some markets are only beginning to demand sophisticated cash management services, but the economy
throughout the region is expected to continue growing at a rapid pace for the foreseeable future. Cash management banks implementing technology today
will be well positioned to adapt quickly to meet customer needs tomorrow."
