Phillip Silitschanu is a senior analyst at Aite Group, LLC, specializing in retail
and institutional investment management, with a specific focus towards asset management product development and distribution. He
is well-versed in the issues and trends facing the European financial services and investment management industry and the European
regulatory landscape, as well as the overarching trends impacting the European market.
Mr. Silitschanu has been quoted in various trade publications, including Funds Europe and Fundfire, and was a
contributing author to Euromoney Books - Multi-Manager Funds: Long-Only Strategies for Managers and Investors.
Prior to joining Aite Group, Mr. Silitschanu was a Senior European Analyst with Cerulli Associates, and served as
the Editor of The Cerulli Edge - Global Edition. There he oversaw the work of several writers from around the world, and also oversaw
the production of the European Distribution Dynamics report, and Global Update report. He also conducted international research for
client assignments and proprietary reports.
Mr. Silitschanu has held positions relating to international finance throughout his career. Prior to his tenure at
Cerulli Associates he was a Senior Analyst with Brown Brothers Harriman's International Corporate Actions group, where his
responsibilities included conducting research of foreign market issues via sub-custodian banks, agents, and companies in foreign
markets. He also provided analysis of the financial impacts resulting from clients' decisions related to various corporate actions,
and advised clients on legal and regulatory restrictions imposed by local and foreign agencies. Before joining Brown Brothers Harriman,
Mr. Silitschanu worked at State Street in Boston.
Mr. Silitschanu earned his MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and his BS in Finance from Boston
University. He has studied in Lausanne, Nuremberg, Paris, and Strasbourg through Babson's intensive course programs and has won
awards for his photographic work in Paris. He is fluent in several languages including English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish;
and conversational in several others. |
