Matt Samelson is a senior analyst at Aite Group, LLC, specializing in equity market structure, trading venues, and transaction cost analysis. He brings to Aite Group a wealth of experience in global equity sales and trading. He has in-depth knowledge of trading strategy formulation, algorithmic trading, transaction cost measurement and management, trading venues and market mechanics.

Prior to joining Aite Group, Mr. Samelson was director of product management at Liquidnet, Inc. where he took part in formulating and implementing value-added enhancements to the existing service. Before that, he was vice president of global portfolio sales and trading with Investment Technology Group (ITG), where he developed new business, marketing equity portfolio and single stock trading services to investment managers, mutual funds and hedge funds.

Mr. Samelson received his M.B.A. in Finance and Business Policy from the University of Chicago and his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 55 and 24 licenses.
